About Us

Kim achieved her Master’s of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of New Mexico in 2013. Her attention to detail and passion for surgery flourished as a member of the UNM Plastic and Burn Reconstruction team. During that time, she developed a unique perspective and deep understanding of facial anatomy and beautification techniques by serving as Primary on emergent, complex wound closure for maxillofacial trauma as well as First-Assist on nearly 200 cases.

Kim began Valkyrie Medical and Aesthetics in Durango, CO in April of 2018, with the support of her wonderful medical director, Michelle Hemingway, MD. In the years since, she has continued to prioritize advancing her knowledge base with hands-on training/master classes by leaders of the cosmetic industry such as:
